Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names and case numbers entered into a search tool are sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Garfield County Court Docket does not keep a separate log of those submitted search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the site may be retained to respond to the message. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, server and service logs can receive routine technical information about the visit:
- The IP address associated with the request
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages requested and approximate time on each page
- The referring page, when one is supplied
- Time and date data for page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that can help measure traffic patterns and page performance. Analytics providers may aggregate this activity. A browser can block cookies, although features depending on them may not operate in the same way.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and contact information is used only for operating and improving the resource, routing a submitted search to its provider, responding to messages, diagnosing service problems, measuring general use, and displaying advertising that may be relevant to a visitor.
No Court-Record Data on File
Garfield County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case files. It explains where Garfield County Court, Garfield District Court, the Clerk Magistrate / County Court, the Clerk of the District Court, and Nebraska JUSTICE hold official information. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party files, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers power the search boxes shown on some pages. A query submitted to one is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing terms. Garfield County Court Docket does not direct those practices, so review the provider's policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Garfield County offices, Nebraska Judicial Branch services, court rules, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this resource, the destination's privacy policy controls that visit. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may track activity across websites for advertising purposes. That activity is managed within their systems, not by this resource.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be received by the following categories of provider when necessary:
- Search providers processing a submitted query
- Analytics services that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving ads on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement entities responding to valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect collected information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so a breach-free service cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor's information is believed to have been provided, contact the site so the matter can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Nebraska's Public Records Act and the court-record access rules in Supreme Court Rule Chapter 1, Article 8 and Rule §2-215 address access to government records, not this private site's visitor logs. For personal information held by this resource, a visitor may ask to:
- Request a copy of information held about the visitor
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for deletion of retained data
- Request limits on certain data processing
